I know the queues are getting better for logging in, but, something is off with the world hopping:
I started 14th in the queue. Thirty-three minutes in and I only moved 4 positions?
I mean...this is pretty bad...
REALLY bad...

It depends on server load, friend. If you get in before the servers start filling up (for Crystal, that's usually before 5pm EST or after 1am EST), the hop is instantaneous. But because server transfers are a lower system priority than logins, once those big queues start then server hops are put on a back foot. The last time I hopped (like last Friday, I think?) I started out as number 17 in the queue right around 6pm EST. Within 5 minutes, I was number 12. TWO HOURS LATER, I was 9. Four hours after that, when the servers had finally started to clear, my queue finally jiggle and let me through, after having spent a solid 45 minutes each at number 3, then 2, then 1.
By the time my world hop went through, I had more than 700 minutes in queue.

I'm just going to call it and maybe try tomorrow. The WORST part about this wait is that you can't leave the zone. I wouldn't mind it as much if I am able to go do something besides standing around looking at people run around Limsa, some AFK dancing, or listen to Bards playing their music. Guess you can fish too..but, eh.
This is pretty much like being stuck in the queue; Having to still babysit otherwise you'll get logged out. Also watching others play (which is like throwing salt on your queue wound).![]()
