Why would they offer a potion to skip the entire story, the entire legacy up till that point? Why would they give someone who hasn't seen it all to skip past what makes FFXIV an FF game for free? That would be equivalent to saying none of the hard work is worth seeing, just move along and do dungeons and trials with no meaning.
