Thread: An Unexpected Error after 6.01 Patch Update

Good morning everyone!

I apologize for the delay in response to this issue and for the ongoing issues you all are facing.

Please try the following below if you have not already done so:

- Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers (if applicable).
- Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
- Please be sure that Final Fantasy XIV is installed to the C: Drive.
- Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Discord, Steam, NVIDIA etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
- Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.

If these troubleshooting tips do not resolve the issue, please reply back with the troubleshooting steps you have already taken to help resolve the issue.

Type mixer into start menu search and change ffxiv to use the realtek sound instead of blank.
