Is there a problem with spiritbond?

Returning player. Started a new character. Started with gladiator, recently switched to marauder.



I don't know if I'm missing something, but there seems to be a problem with spiritbond.


The gear I'm wearing will gain some spiritbond, but then at some point spiritbond just stops increasing and I don't know why.


This only seems to occur on these two tank jobs.



I've been leveling DoH & DoL jobs like mad (they're higher leveled than the DoW jobs). Didn't seem to notice any problems with spiritbond gains on DoH & DoL gear. It's just the DoW gear.


For example, I switched my marauder to a set of lvl 20 gear at lvl 20. Initially there was a start of spiritbond. Now I'm lvl 23 and a number of pieces of equipment are still stuck at 1% spiritbond.

Spiritbond only increases if you're killing enemies of appropriate level. If you get sent into a much lower level dungeon your higher level equipment won't get any spiritbond.

Yeah, it's been a thing since it was noted in the 5.3 Patch notes from August 2020. You can read more there.

Was soloing mobs that (apart from one or two) at least my level or above. Wasn't in dungeons.

You only gain combat spiritbond in dungeons now, and only at the end of the dungeon.
