EW is more cutscenes than actual gameplay so skipping goes a long way. Also you can skip a lot in this story and still understand what's going on just by skimming the quest text or just briefly watching a cutscene.Me and my friend have played almost every day since launch for many hours and we are still not done with the story even now. my friend did the expansion in the first 2 days... every day we say to eachother how the did people do all this content in 2 days? seems impossible...
It's kind of like a soap opera. You can skip watching it for several months and instantly be caught up by watching just one episode.
MSQ is about 40 hours.
Skip the sidequests and use trusts. I also read very quickly.
In the first week I had already cleared the MSQ and farmed the EX trials. I didn't skip any cutscenes and watched the whole story.
I mean, it took me 4 days. And I did every single possible sidequest, and every roulette every day.
I didn't skip cutscenes. Started on the early-access launch (Friday), finished it around very late Tuesday (Wednesday 3am). This was with me going ham on it on Saturday and Sunday. Mondays and Tuesdays I didn't get to play much.
If I had no work, I probably would have ended it early Tuesday.
If I had skipped the cutscenes and everything, it probably would have taken me less than 2 days, yeah. Don't see what the point of doing that is. The story is a huge part of the game. Playing without knowing what is going on just feels... meaningless.
