How did people do Endwalker in 2 days?

Me and my friend have played almost every day since launch for many hours and we are still not done with the story even now. my friend did the expansion in the first 2 days... every day we say to eachother how the did people do all this content in 2 days? seems impossible...

No need to skip cutscenes. I got through it in 2 days. The first day was a pretty big 18h time sync. And then on the next day it was slightly fewer hours. Overall it amounted to about 30+h. And I did almost all the blue aether current quests and some other unlocks. The people I know who skipped the story got through everything on day one and had all crafters/gatherers at 90 by day 3 or something.

Seems like OP is a slower reader or takes some time to deal with things. The largest time sync in the MSQ is cutscenes. Everything else is travel and instances (doing JUST MSQ should also level you to 90) . Easiest cut of the largest amount of time is skipping cutscenes.

So you either binge play it like you did (18 hours is a pretty long play session) or you cram it into smaller sessions eliminating all unnecessary time syncs.

Not saying you HAVE to , but with the information given that seems the thing that OP is missing.

It took me just over 2 weeks playing in a really chill manner.
I think for example if you skip the cutscenes in ShB getting to the end takes you about 2 hours.

If you have a friend that did it in two days, why not just ask them how they did it if you're curious?

Edit: My post actually sounds antagonistic when I didn't mean it to be. I assumed the OP was meant to antagonize when maybe it wasn't. Hope you find the answers you're looking for. I still have a couple weeks at my current pace, so I can't even provide any potential insight anyways, lol.
