And by that, I mean world-building, since in theory it has the potential, lore wise, of a brand new game, since they don't have to connect anything back to the Source for it to work. And the biggest thing is while at that, they don't need to forget the Source exists, because it can still thrive as its own entity with side content.
Well the best chance for WoL to enter with a clean slate in Season 2 without ignoring all of WoL actions in Season 1 will be if Season 2 focus mostly in the New World. WoL is well known to everyone in Eorzea and locations around Eorzea but in the New World, word about WoL's deeds may not have reached lands that far from Eorzea. Not even the Garlean Empire manage to establish much presence in the New World as well so I will not be surprised if civilizations in the New World did not get much information about what is happening in Eorzea and the lands around Eorzea.

To the civilization of the New World, they probably saw events of the Final Days as a unknown event due to low or no contact from Eorzea and the civilizations that do have full contact with Eorzea.

The New World also give SE the ability to get creative with new civilizations and the Jobs involved with those civilizations due to how little we know about the New World beyond what we are told from Blue Mage quests.

The land is very peaceful and full of harmony I guess /s

But seriously though a lot of places have blasphemy-risk where the celestial aether is thin, blasphemies can appear in conflict/stress heavy locations when Meteia was still active and the Scions' work is actually not done yet if blasphemies could still exist after the defeat of the Meteia hivemind. A lot of people are still ignorant about how the blasphemies work in-universe.
It is mentioned that despite the Final Days prevented, those that have already changed will remain as blasphemies. This lore indicate we may see more blasphemies in the future due to those that transformed already are forever blasphemies until they die but there should be no more people becoming blasphemies. This lore does have potential to provide plenty of things in Season 2 locations especially the locations that have little contact with Eorzea and its ally nations such as the New World locations thus they should be unaware about Ascians, Final Days, and etc that almost everyone in Eorzea and the nations that have contact with Eorzea knows about.
