PS5 Crashing/turning off

The past two days any time I load up the game, it will crash and completely turn off my ps5.

I haven’t been able to really see if something I’m doing is causing it or not because I haven’t been able to actually spend any time in game. I’ve tried changing my settings and still nothing seems to be working.

The last time it happened I was in Sharlyan and I jumped and it crashed. Any suggestions or fixes would be great because I just want to do the new raid

Do you experience any error messages when the game crashes? Additionally what settings were changed when trouble shooting?

No error message at all. It just shuts down the console. The only things I’ve changed are the way auto rest was working as well as the graphics display. I was able to get it to work for most of today, but at some point it just turned off again.

I am having the same issue, on ps5. This has only been happening since the recent update, but 2 days ago my console completely turned off.

As of the recent update I would press a button and it crashes (usually within the first 10 mins of logging into the game,) although it's not constant, but it's still a major issue because of queue times.

I've sent every crash report in.

When the system crashes, does it display any symptoms like overheating or artifacting on the screen?

When the system shuts off, does it allow you to turn it back on immediately? if so, does it state any details when recovering from the error?

Does the crash/shut off happen when you do something in particular in the game such as accessing a certain character, area or performing a certain action?

Have you tried completely reformatting the Playstation 5 from scratch, updating the Playstation 5 firmware then reinstalling the game?

Whenever it crashes it just freezes or goes black, then the ps5 will ask for you to send error report.
When it shuts off, it's pretty much instant.
It doesn't power back on right away, it takes a minute to be able to boot back up, and when it comes back it says "an unexpected error occurred" no error code.

I have not tried to reformat, altho I might give it a try.

I have a sneaky suspicion it might be Netflix when coming out of reset mode causing conflict. I'll test it out later.

Hi - I am now having this issue. Two crashes of my PS5 - the first one was 10 minutes or so after logging in, the second time was the second I logged in. In both cases, the PS5 seems to try to restart itself and then just shuts off. Also unresponsive to reboots for 1-2 minutes.

What is happening? This has never happened until the update.

I apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. Could you try the following trouble shooting:

- Uninstall and reinstall the game
-Make sure system and game are updated to most recent version.
- Power cycle the system with the following:
-Completely turn off the PlayStation by holding the power button.
-Wait for the power light to stop flashing, then remove the power cable and leave the system for 20 minutes.
-Reconnect everything and then turn the system on
