For anyone else who is having this problem using SteelSeries Arctis where there is absolutely no sound/90% silence 10% loud static noises.
Date & Time: After 12/21/2021
Frequency: Every login
World name: All
Character name: Crimson Frost

I had attempted the recommended fix suggested in patch notes of changing channels, rebooting computer, restarting game, restarting game between each change of audio property channels, etc. None of it worked, but it just needed some additional steps

Not having DirectX11 enabled causes my game to crash, so that is not an option for me.


Steps TO FIX (another sound output, such as speakers is required):
1. Open the Windows control panel, select your default audio device, and view properties. Then, under the Advanced tab, select a lower setting for the default format (this is the instructions per patch notes).
2. It seems the "best" format that works for me is 2 Channels, 16 bit, 44100 Hz
3. Open Volume Mixer
4. Switch to other output (i.e speakers, monitor, etc)
5. Switch back to "Arctis Pro Wireless Game"
I need to do these steps every time I log in.
