Launcher crashing without any feedback or error

Sometimes when I try to open the Launcher it just doesn't open, sometimes nothing happens sometimes the launcher window opens and closes almost immediately, if this happens the only way to fix it is restart my computer.

It seems that this usually happens if I had played earlier that day and try to play again latter without turning the computer off, is there maybe some way to force the game to reset its state to fix this issue? I tried checking if there is any service or program running that I could force close but didn't see anything obvious still running on my machine on Task Manager.

It's likely that for some reason, FF14 (or a portion of it) is still running on your computer, probably because it didn't successfully close down when you exited. Next time, when you log out of FF14, hit Ctrl+alt+del and open up Task Manager. See if FF14 or the launcher is still running. If so, just end it and it should be fine.

You mean instead of closing the game normally to kill it with Task Manager? Because when the problem happens I can't find anything related to FF14 or the Launcher in the Task Manager to kill and at that point I get stuck and can only fix it with a full reboot =/
