for people that has this problem, do you use a wireless headset? and if you use one, is one of those where the usb audio card disconnects when you turn of the headset? or the headset is always connected even if is physically powered off?

The headset or sound output does not matter. Personally, I plug into the audio jack, a friend uses a USB + wired setup, and another is having it happen with speakers. That being said, I don't tend to disconnect my headset.
I mean, it's certainly possible 6.0 introduced a new audio bug that resembles the old one. But in terms of "well, my audio inexplicably has vanished", some variant of that one has been around for quite a while.
I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer

I'm not normally one to go around committing thread necromancy but I want to bump this for visibility.
The Technical Support thread for the audio stutter introduced in 6.0, and made worse for many players in 6.01, has hit 700 posts. Despite this, it's hard not to feel like we're being ignored. We've all tried all the fixes suggested to us by Squeenix and many others besides - no solution works for everyone, and only a handful seem to so much as reduce the problem for anyone at all. People in that thread much more technically-minded than myself have, after much testing, placed the blame squarely on the new spatial audio system, which seems to be interfering with audio even when Immerse is not installed or enabled. It is (obviously, to those suffering from the issue) NOT the fault of the user for having an outdated CPU. Regardless of the direct cause, something is clearly wrong with the new system and has been for almost a month now.
A fix for the stutter is sorely needed, and the sooner it can happen the better. I doubt Square Enix can just tear Immerse support out of the audio system willy-nilly for both technical and legal reasons, but implementing an optional 5.55/benchmark audio mode should not be impossible. What's especially irritating is that the benchmark was made available before Immerse support was ever announced, and I and many others believed that our systems could handle the game without these crippling issues.
I would also ask anyone else experiencing audio stutter to submit a bug report if they haven't already: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...2-In-Game-Bugs
