Absolutely support this. We did not need the new sound updates.

Agreed.
Please give us an option to use the old sound engine or at least roll back to it temporarily until the issue is fully resolved. I sadly don't even get the benefit of audio lagging/popping. Mine just cuts out entirely 100% and I have to play the game in silence unless I want to restart the game and sit in queue for another 4 hours...
This issue is particularly frustrating to deal with while queue times the way they are...
Yes please! My hardware is also bit older, but I got High in benchmark and this should NOT be an issue.
Been playing the game a week with the game muted because of this issue and postponed doing the new msq dungeons and trials until i can actually hear the music and dialogue. Posting for the sake of posting for potential fix or legacy sound option.
Great idea, I'm sick of sound randomly breaking while playing the game. This happened maybe once every few months in the old engine versus every second day on the new one. Not sure it helps but I'm on a completely new rig too so I don't think it's just older hardware suffering from these issues
This is the least that SE can do, my monthly fee will expire and I can't play the game, sorry, I bought it in the pre-sales...
That's a really good idea. People with audio issues could switch back to the 5.5 version and the ones without could just keep playing.
Bumping this for visibility. Also wondering why it got moved from the Tech Support forum to General, but whatevs.
This is the first ive head of an audio issues. What is happening??
