How do I join a free company?

Sorry for such a basic question but I really cannot find any information on this. If i search for it on google, what comes up is how to create a free company. Some youtube videos try to show you, but I don't understand what to do from the free company page where it says "apply below". There is no link, just some member of the guild with no option to message them. Please help!

The process is fairly simple. If you see a shout in town from a recruiter you can click their name and ask to join more details. Afterward they may invite you to party and go from there.

Then there are applications, if you see someone in an fc somewhere can open up their company profile and see if they are accepting applications. If they are click that option and fill out the box and submit it. The appropriate members in the fc will get notified when they log in.

I'll try to figure it out. Haven't found one with an actual application, just a section toward the bottom on the Lodestone that says "Apply Below". Don't know how to shouting stuff works or what it does yet.
