So I've played FFXIV on controller since my first day playing - I started on the PS4 and then eventually moved to PC. It took a long time for me to get my controller working with the game on PC, and for whatever reason it requires me to have Steam Input disabled with the controller plugged in via USB - this has been the case with both my PS4 and now my PS5 controller.

I have never been able to have controller specific functions such as rumble enabled in the game because FFXIV only recognises my controller as 'Wireless Controller', which is I believe what the controller is called in Device Manager. With PS5 controller support on PC now available with Endwalker I have wanted to try and get that set up so I can have haptic feedback, responsive trigger and speaker functionality that I would if I were playing on my PS5.

However, any attempt I make to deviate from my current setup - enabling Steam Input or any other controller changes within Steam - means that my controller no longer functions -at all- in game.

So I am still stuck using what the game considers a 'Wireless Controller' without any of the supported features that Endwalker supposedly brought to PC players. Does anyone have any idea what I have to do to get this working correctly?
