I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer

Mostly Lv50+ items, though I don't think anything is level 70+ (could be wrong). This is my fave glam, everything's kinda mix-matched but it looks cohesive since I put a LOT of thought into it.
My rule is: If I likes it, I wears it.
Low level. When I switched from catgirl to Hrothgar, I went and bought the base starter gear and turned it into my primary glamour. Crafters and gatherers don't use any glamours.
I don't really worry about source, just appearance. If I likes it, I wears it. Level one glamour, low-level dungeon gear, MSQ rewards, raids, whatever.
You're not superior for using low level gear. Glamour is unique to the tastes of the person that is wearing it. I, for example, love casual and modern clothes, I don't like too much the look of combat gear on my character. For some that might be "bad glam" because they personally don't like that. By the same token I might look at the glamour that same person thinks is impecable and think it's clownish or bland. There is no right or wrong when glamouring as long as you yourself like it. It's all a matter of personal taste.
While I normally prefer outfits that look like they'd actually provide protection in the field, I had to go with more "modern" clothes for BRD. The High House Justacorps with Best Man slacks and gaiters fits my image of a sophisticated performer much more than the gaudy over the top standard BRD AF or the Fantasy-Cowboy aesthetic of the "Aiming" sets.
One thing I always make sure to do, which usually results in using lower-level gear, is to make sure all my weapons have a complete blade that makes practical sense. None of these spiky or split bladed weapons that wouldn't be able to cut a block of cheese without getting stuck.
