Summoner Job and suggestions for Summonable Avatars

aw phoenix for got all about that one. im ashamed to call myself a summoner. but Id rather have Ixion an electric Unicorn is a bit more sexy than a green snot looking monster lol.

Though now that i think about it. What IF gave Summoner the option to pick between 2 or 3 summons. Example you go to a Lightnign shrine and you can literally pick Either Ixion, Quezacotl, or hydra. Which would be cool cause then not every summoner would be exactly the same.

Ahh right hydra was lightning, yeah i just never liked ixion and thats totally personal preference right there i mean Quezacoatl wouldnt have to look like a horribly green snot thing what with the better graphics. Having multiple of the same element that have different roles wouldnt be a bad idea though i'd want to be able to select between them or reselect them somehow.

Yeah i only ever played the ps1 version so whatever SE wants to call it i'd like to see it ingame though i will agree that a hydra ought to have multiple heads which he/she doesnt.

well the summons list i used as a reference said Hydra/ aka Syldra so i just used the basic name that most ppl would no im sorry

I'v skimmed through some of this thread and read others, so please forgive me if this idea was said already.

Couldn't they do some sort of "point system". And what I mean for this is the primals. I think summoner should get it's normal "pet" summons but I think summoner should have some sort of access to the primals. Couldn't they do something like how Odin and Alexander where in FFXI? (Usable only as a 2hour) or...

Maybe, say you do a quest and get "points" for using them. And you only get them for a extremely limited time. Like 5 minutes then gone for a week or so. Say you do something like a "favor" quest for the primals and you build individual favor for them and they will loan you some of their power for a limited time. Then you have to wait, say "recover" from using such an immense power(still wouldn't be as strong as LS/company use) individually so you can't do the quests for a while again. For points I was thinking it would build up to a certain cap...1 point = 1 minute or something to that affect.

Then they can keep the whole LS using the primals still, and it would be more epic then individual use, because it's the actual primals themselves instead of just a small bit of them. So the whole weather thing still happens (I think that will be fun to witness)

Man good idea I hope summoner is a class and if they discard it add avatars like fenrir Phoenix or even espers as long as we don't get useless elementals and tonnerry seriously?

I suggested that Summoner should get Bahamut, From doing a quest line more harder than the relics. That way only putting in that effort should you be able o get Bahamut. Or like someone else suggested that eventually make a weapon thats equally as hard to get, that allows you to summon Bahamut.

I was just thinking that for bahamut in general i just hope yoshi see this and add our ideas and compare it to his to make it the best class .

Its how i feel about Summoner, if we cant get the orginal 11 summons give us the Avatar we never got in 11 Bahamut, i mean its just not Summoner without him.
