    SSS is worthless. If it was an ability instead of a weaponskill I'd agree with you, but as it stands, being locked to the GCD makes it a worthless disengage when all the other melee's have real disengages that are oGCD's and backstep. A minor speed boost and a half okish potency on a move thats on the GCD is not what I would call great.

    Also, as far as positionals go, they are not coming back so get used to that. Lack of positionals isn't the problem with monk anyways. Bringing back positionals isn't going to fix the clunky mechanics of blitz and the awkward burst windows being intentionally designed to be outside of the raids burst window forcing an even longer blitz phase by doing double phoenix to line up with raid burst windows. They need to fix the blitz mechanics first and do something about perfect balance before even considering something as pointless as positionals.

    No it´s not and it just shows that you´ve no clue about "maximize your output".

    Thunderclap is literally a better skill for disengaging and immediately re-engaging. Why would I wait for a GCD and a dps loss from SSS?

    - There are moments where you can´t use Thunderclap to disengage (spread after) or maybe you just can´t be sure that this 1 guy is on the right spot.

    - There are more than enough moments when a boss disappears. It´s a useful damage increase if you use it as finisher.

    - Sometimes you do even have a 3-4s window before you´re able to re-engage and chakra is not always available and FS not every time the best option.

    - It´s superior for those who struggle with uptime, max melee range and stuff. SSS helps them a lot to keep the damage high while playing safe.

    SSS is unique and offers a lot of opportunities without being broken or useless. It´s good placed where it is.

    This isn't entirely correct. In fact this is the first x.01 patch since at least ARR (since ARR didn't have a 2.01 patch) wherein there were zero job adjustments. You could argue how major the adjustments were, but they did pull some jobs up from launching in a bad state into something viable. And given the state of the forums, very few players appear to be satisfied with the state in which monk launched. So it's fair to have anticipated some adjustments here, as well as potency changes for jobs like dancer and summoner that are underperforming in their roles.

    Six Sided Star is decent enough to use before you limit break since the windup animation for the attack is longer than 5 seconds. But I do agree that it's a largely useless skill.
