    Each expansion was WORSE than what happen to DRK right now... It was terrible and just broken which amplify the dissatisfaction of MNK player.

    It have been a couple of days now that i have hit lvl90, looking forward to EX and savage with MNK, i do think MNK is really good but clearly lack some sort of engagement, i mean i push myself to do positionals especially downtime. They have to build on it, just add back positionals on DK and BS, fix Anatman and maybe SSS or add another oGCD, after we good to next expansion with more mech.

    (I just wish that they would put more depth into MNK but if we get positionals back, anatman and SSS fixed i'm not gonna complaint).

    I've seen more monks leveling my GNB from 81-90 than I have in my entirety of the first two months of shadowbringers.     You should check everything before you make claims, really.

    Just because you see some more MNKs on your server doesn´t mean they´re everywhere now. I´ve seen 2, maybe 3 next to me and i´ve played every day about 10h+ and have multiple classes at 90 already. Instead i see RPR, SMN and SGE everywhere meanwhile SMN is not new, it just got reworked as MNK got. Meanwhile i know a bunch of old MNK mains which dropped MNK with the loss of GL in Shb and other with EW now.

    Also... some ppl showed up like "Look, MNK is played at the endgame now! Check ff.logs, the rework is successful!". So yes, we checked it and all it says is, that MNK is the 2nd least played class in the current endgame. And instead of battling about "being the last" with BLM, it´s NIN imo. So far, no... it doesn´t work.

    - We had 3 classes, now 4, without many positionals. So there is no reason that MNK shouldn´t have 6 positionals for those who like the mobility.

    - Do you speak for everybody or someone else? Is there a poll that shows that everybody out there dislike MNK with positionals? I guess not.

    - You love DRK, we love MNK. How about we go to the tank forum and spam the same shit over and over again until DRK gets a fat rework you gonna dislike, when there are 3 other tanks we could play?

    - If you really think that DRK is bad to play in dungeons and stuff, then you´re just not a good tank, or a good player. (As many other "tank-mains" out there sitting on overtuned kits but claim "it´s so useless.") I can rundown any shit with any tank easily, maybe they should give tanks positionals, so i won´t fall asleep?

    Other youtubers who main tanks and healers are EXTREMELY relieved that we are losing more positionals and hopes they get replaced with mechanics that revolve around the player managing resources, not landing RNG positionals against the beyblade boss. I understand you might love positionals, but from what I've seen, read, and heard on youtube, discord, in-game, and on other forums, they are glad they are gone. I can't imagine the nightmare that is balancing positionals for the devs. The sheer amount of times you need to adjust the numbers based on whether they may be reasonable to hit during raids or dungeons is atrocious.

    It also doesn't help that every suggestion I've seen to make them easier to land has been the equivalent of adding more Riddle of Earth stacks, but then you guys complain about button bloat on Samurai?

    Meanwhile every other class gets more complex as they level, ShB monk got easier as you leveled it with true north stacks and riddle of Earth stacks.

    That being said, I have enjoyed other games takes on monk, but FF14 has struggled to make Monk feel like Monk for a while, so while EW Monk is still rough around the edges, it's at least on the right track.
    You know why MNK got easier and easier? Because ppl showed up like "Ühhhh positionals, ühhhh GL, ühhhhh i don´t want to get punished, just because i suck or care for that last positionals on gods earth."
    And MNK in it´s current form is nothing but a worse NIN. You´ve a straight rotation with nothing to care about and even if you missclick in the PB window, you not gonna get a real punishment like the rabbit on your head. PB got splitted in 2 and they added burstskills, meanwhile we lost pretty much everything about the class. Blitz is not even a real mechanic to take care about or to make different use of as you can with Mudra aka aoe, singletarget, trick attack, attackspeed. All of them is flat aoe unless you missclick, then you´re going to get a singletarget skill with a bit less potency. Who cares?

    Your claims have nothing to do with wisdom or knowledge. Actually your argumentation, away from the fact that you just want to piss on our legs, is filled with inexperience and missing class-knowledge. Any opinions about positionals doesn´t even matter in this way. Blitz in its current form just changed the MNK opener and burstphase rotation. But it doesn´t bring anything to MNK´s kit, no variety or possibilities. It´s not on the right track, it´s a mess without any depth or skill-ceiling, just 1-2 buttons to press every 60s between the standard MNK stuff.

    Go play MNK, increase the stats for SE, i don´t care. But ppl like you and others, who don´t want to main a class or just being like "I love to have a greatsword or i love martial arts, please change the whole class for me" should stop this nonsense. And yeah, i don´t like the other melees for a bunch of reasons, so there is no chance to play anything else, especially since none of them offers high mobility combined with positionals gameplay. But no, why should i get catered, or all the other MNK Vets out there, when SE can cater ppl "who like every class and might play MNK after finishing 4 tanks or WAR -> SMN -> SGE or whatever".

    You did not read my second sentance did you? You seem very frustrated about the recent changes, maybe you should try out different jobs too. If you are so much into positionals, I think DRG has still 4 of them, give it a shot, you may like it.

    I definitely don't speak for everyone here, but I've really been enjoying the Monk changes - and I've been maining Monk since 2.0 (but I missed out on the entirety of the 3.X iterations of Monk). Since removing GL in 5.4 was laying down the groundwork for how Monk would be in the future, I was really looking forward to some sort of new gauge to manage. Blitz is a really nice and fun addition to the job for me and the new animations makes everything feel a lot more fresh.

    I'm indifferent about positionals though - I've always done them since of course, we had them, but they've never been a part of the class identity to me. It's always been about the free-form combos through the stances for me, and the changes to Perfect Balance is a step in the right direction (even though the Solar Nadi requires a normal combo, but the flow can be different, e.g. Twin Snakes > Dragon Kick > Demolish, depending on which buff/DoT you need to refresh).

    All of this being said, it doesn't mean improvements can't be made. I'd love to see Anatman being reworked into something related to one of our Nadis, and while Six-Sided Star is a good tool to use in certain situations, it'd be great to see it get some more use in our usual combo flow. And as I've seen it being said before, something to do in between our Perfect Balance windows would absolutely be welcome, even if it's just an extra oGCD.

    I like the Blitz system a lot too.

    The big issue I have is that MNK feels empty during the downtime.
    NIN actually sorta got solved in that regard in EW, it still has the 1 2 3 downtime but it's not felt as much now or at least it feels shorter because of Raiju and higher Ninki gain.

    But MNK lost ogcds and on top of that also lost positionals, so now you've basically got nothing else to do during downtime inbetween the burst phases.
    And Chakras are inconsistent and unpredictable and also have issues with overcapping with the new Brotherhood which is rly unresponsive and clunky too which is a whole other issue.
