Mogstation Renaming services offline still?

I'm trying to assess this information, but can't find the correct update... I had the impression that they suspended this service because it taxes the servers somehow, but did they update on an ETA for making it available again?

No update on when it will come back. As long as the ques are long it will not be reinstated. It may be awhile before it comes back.

It seems it was a smart decision on my side to buy nickname change before EA maintenance on 1st. Othwerise I would be in the list of waiting ones as well. :")

Surprised they haven't put a moratorium on Fantasia use too to mitigate things (especially with how many people also want to switch to Bunny Boi asap).

On the one hand would probably eat horribly into Mog Station sales, on the other hand might help avoid gaining some bad will from players that buy one, then forget they're going to have to log out and eat the queue again in order to use ...

Blocking Fantasia use when they released a race would be bad, people would be up in arms about not being able to play as a male Viera.

This has ruined my day for the past couple of days. I just want to play my new Viera, but I can't rename the character slot for him. It almost feels like they released a new character option for people to buy fantasias, then also stopped renaming so people would make a fresh one and buy boosts to make more money off it. I hope that's just me being pissy and cynical, and not the truth.

This is incredibly frustrating. It literally bothers me more than the queue does that this feature is disabled a week later.

What's especially frustrating is the error message it gives you, which is just a lie.

"This service is currently unavailable due to site maintenance. Please try again later."

I hadn't read the news story about this, because their site is difficult enough to read normally, let alone when you don't know to look for something. So I saw that error, assumed it'd be fixed in hours, and bought and used my fantasia. And now I have my Male Viera with his Hyur Female name, and I'm angry and I can't fix it. And of course, they don't give an ETA, or open up the service during the slower periods of the day, so I'm just stuck. If I were just playing the game, it wouldn't be a big deal, but this is an RP character. So I can't use him for that.
