    Having/using a 400 potency instant heal on a DPS wouldn't be the worst thing, considering a spell like that already exists on a tank. The issue comes with having to use it, cause if you need to use it within an instant cast window, when you should be burst DPSing, there are bigger issues a foot.

    If you look up damage logs people have posted since the expansion launched, this is definitely not the case currently with red mage out damaging summoner. Sure summoner is more mobile now, but it got hit HARD with the mobility tax despite still having at least a few spells that must be cast standing still.

    But to the original point, Eloah got it right stating that the skill is no longer one it shares with scholar, so given it does not scale on intelligence seems to be an intentional choice on the part of the developers. And to be honest, summoner doesn't really need it. Once you can summon Phoenix, you've got more healing than you'll need in most scenarios.

    I mean...if they made a trait to convert scaling to intellect, I'm sure they could easily add on to that trait that the instant cast time would not apply to Physick.

    I agree they need a potency buff overall, but with everything they do being practically instant cast now I pretty much see SE keeping them in the brd/mch territory.

    They made Ruin II separate effects for SCH and SMN (now no longer insta-cast for SMN), so I don't see why they can't fix Physick. Same for Energy Drain, and probably others yet they mark Resurrection as the only arcanist ability left in SCH's list for some reason. There's at least a few others than that, but they scooted them over into job actions. Why? But Physick can be changed to scale with INT with a level 30 SMN trait, easy. But really, do SMNs even need the flavor or function of healing? Pets don't have HP anymore. What about summoning necessitates healing at this point? They should just get rid of the button at this point, they considered removing Resurrection but not Physick? Pretty sure most summoners would appreciate the honesty of admitting the lie of Physick.

    I like the idea of adding an attribute/trait that turns physick into either an INT-scaling heal or a timed-window CD where you heal in propotion to the damage dealt during that period of time. It could even have a name/animation themed after the King Moogle Mog (similar to Pom Cure). If RDM has "Vercure" as their own version of the spell, then SMN could have the same.

    It's probably just there to fill up the lack of abilities. Summoner has like 6 buttons lol
