    Are they changing them. I thought they looked hilarious. In my mind i chalked them up to being just fancy genetically engineered grapes that take more angular shapes

    This is a meme referring to Azem saving the people from a volcano from erupting in the short story, and his excuse was 'the grapes were tasty' basically, implying he prevented the volcano from erupting to both save the people and their livelihood. The incident is briefly referenced in Endwalker, though you won't catch it if you don't know about it. The grapes in Labyrinthos have no bearing to the short story, but... we gotta save the grapes, ya know.

    The fix is no better though, they're still just painted on to a polygon.

    I thought they were going to round them out, like a bunch of balls on a stem.

    They just made the crystal a different shape. So why fix at all?
