Still takes forever to leave a FATE :(

Just now I had a queue pop while inside a FATE, and I literally sprinted away as far as I can the moment it dinged, the emnity list was cleared, I was mashing the button to change to the right job but the system won't let me, and eventually that split second I switched into the right job, the queue ended.

It took longer than 40 seconds to leave a FATE and become able to change jobs.

Any plans on improving this? Because I can't see any other solution than to "don't do FATEs when a queue is about to pop", with the "about to pop" including anything from 5 mintues to 25 minutes. This is fine with quick queues. But not fine when looking at 25 minute queues. (Yes 25 minute queues do exist, for those who only play during peak hours and don't know what it's like off-peak.) I've had times when we're just waiting for one role and I'm literally next to go into the dungeon, and after 20 minutes it still hasn't popped.

Can we maybe get a button for FATEs like the sync/unsync button, but for leaving the FATE? Literally removing us completely from that FATE, including all our contributions to the FATE if need be. That would solve the problem completely.

The simplest solution is to have the game automatically change you to the proper job upon hitting the accept button on the queue.

That would also be fine. Switch job/class to the queued job/class, automatically apply highest ilv gear, and the player can change to another gearset that uses the same job after getting into the instance. That'd also be perfect.

This has been brought up before, but unfortunately the game/servers have no knowledge of your gear sets and consequently no easy way to change your job at all. Job changing is tied to weapon and soul stone equipment changes, and you need the job you queued on but also to meet the item requirements for that duty which can only be done quickly with gear sets, which are saved in the client data. That doesn't mean it can't be done at all, just that it requires a bit more work, however...

...this seems like a pretty good workaround to me, just equip everything for that job as if using the recommended gear function. It would still require them to change the way duty qualification is checked, and there would be a tiny opportunity for someone to screw around by taking all their gear out of their armory chest or something, but it's much less work than completely overhauling the job change and gear set systems.

Could make it like the training dummies. where click on there name to remove any emnity. Or have a option you click on to leave the fate.

I actually like this idea, and not just for leaving Fates.
