So how does body transfer explains when Venat's spell doesn't allow our aether to be manipulated. Doesn't the soul relate to aether? Or does the soul exist apart from the aether?

The blessing was stated to "ward off aetherial corruption", though thus far all we've seen in that regard (And likely will ever see) was it offering us some level of protection against the aether of the lightwardens, and preventing Ascian bodysnatching (Which entails them overtaking one's body while their soul is still present).
