Please remake 1.0 in New Game+

After finishing Endwalker, I so wanted to play it again, but I also found it’s not New Game+ yet. Oh, oh well. Booo. I have not played the current implementations of NG+ but if I wanted to go through this all over again, I would highly appreciate remaking the original 1.0 events, which for the cutscene systems we have now, are not verily complicated to reimagine.

Without 1.0, though it is many times alluded to, I feel there is a chapter in this game that I might never get to see again. The spark that began this whole endeavor. To learn the source of meteor storm hydaelyn shows us, has been roughly ten years in the making and I can not forget the moment I was called to hear, think, feel, and walk.

Many people can only experience these events vicariously on preserved YouTube videos. Please, please, please, reintegrate these scenes and quests so that we ALL can experience Final Fantasy 14 in its full glory and splendor.

Edit: to be perfectly clear im not talking about implementing all the old systems of the old game. Im just saying reimagine the main cutscenes and add simple quests to carry it, such as queue for bowl of embers- type stuff. I am NOT talking about things like Chocobo Escorts, Notorious Monsters, or anything about how that version of the game played. Trim it down where needed and keep it a small project- 1.0 MSQ is not all that long. After just watching all of the cutscenes then starting my ARR NG+, I feel even more compelled to say the experience feels more complete WITH 1.0’s lore.

Yall are acting like they asked for a 1.0 classic server, I personally would also like the option to view the 1.0 story in the game somehow. Obviously with the way the game was rebuilt it's not very realistic to ask for a 1:1 port of the storyline, but if we could see the cutscenes or something to get the gist of the story it would've made this ending way more impactful for those of us who weren't around for 1.0. I'll be honest, it's a damn shame they haven't found a way to do that so the game's starting point of the storyline is lost to the world forever. At least it is currently. Maybe in the future they'll figure something out.

A handful of cutscenes and quests connected to trials and content that already exists like Running Ifrit once or Nael van Darnus.
That’s too much to ask for even with the systems we have now? The gripe with 1.0 isn’t story because all that back story has built on the game you know today. The problem back then was the systems. You’re saying that you don’t want a few story relevant cutscenes and quests in NG+ that is completely optional for you to do? K. Cool.

If they had capacity to add it in as part of New game+ so its not mandatory then it would perhaps be interesting, at the same time its difficult to fathom because the SE FFXIV team prob don't have the resources to split across projects.

What I would like is if SE eventually re-did 2.0 completely so that the story is more engaging and less long winded at times.

They would have to completely rework it including said cutscenes it was created on crystal tools engine as opposed to the luminous engine and still the coding itself is giving issues to the game as it is again NO. Yoshi P said Nightmare for a reason and it is!

So it’s a nightmare to look at the dialogue and reproduce it? I don’t buy that, not by a long shot. If they can’t reproduce and reimagine a few cutscenes and make a few very simple quests then I fail to understand how they even got this far. Remaking those scenes has nothing to do with the old engine.

I really wish they would remake 1.0 story even its just a animated movie or in-game movie as a special chapter.

1.0 is part of the story, and sets the stage for everything else.
