



Yeah. It's just such a shoddy way to figure out who "the real (tm) women" are. It's extremely disrespectful, discouraging, and altogether disheartening to see such discriminatory actions from a group that claims to be a safe space.I think a lot of people forget that in cases like this, where women try to ensure only "real women" are allowed in a certain space, they often end up attacking or excluding the wrong people. Like someone else said, voice verification is extremely inaccurate. I've met some cis women with some pretty husky voices. They would get called men by these "real women" and chased off. The same way they attack women with broad shoulders that they encounter in public bathrooms because they think they're trans women and therefore just men trying to sneak in there and peep at women.
I saw all that go down on Twitter when it happened, so it was a relief to see that they couldn't just come here and pretend all that didn't happen and rope in more innocent people, but it's also disappointing to see people encouraging it.
