Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
We apologize for the delay in response to this issue. The error you are describing may occur when DirectX crashes. We suggest to perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the 'Start up' Tab. Then, Disable everything. Additionally, can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display'.

STOP WITH THIS REPLY! I'm getting sick and tired of seeing this response on every single thread about this issue! There are SO many people having this issue! TAKE IT SERIOUSLY! It's been an issue for YEARS and you've been responding with the exact same response every time! And NO fix works! No! Reinstalling drivers does nothing. Clean boot does nothing. Reinstalling the game does nothing.l Installing the game on a different drive does nothing. Removing all peripherals does nothing! And when you've given this response and the next response that will be a "Clean boot bla bla bla" you will ghost this thread!Good morning! Every single one of these errors is FF14 on a clean reinstalled computer! YOUR GAME IS BROKEN AND YOUR IMPLEMENTATION OF DX11 IS BROKEN! And no! DX9 crashes just as often! It's been an issue for years! And it's the only game/software that people have issues with!
They’re asking for this to *troubleshoot*.STOP WITH THIS REPLY! I'm getting sick and tired of seeing this response on every single thread about this issue! There are SO many people having this issue! Like how when you call IT and they ask you to turn it on and off again first. They’re getting stuff out of the way, so that when they come back (because so long as the person responds and honestly troubleshoots, they will) They can come back with different solutions, or different ways to troubleshoot. Stop snapping at customer service lmao.
It's a bot who gives the exact same response every single time, it leads to nothing! It's been an issues since stormblood and it's always the same response and the "person" will ghost this thread and not give ANY solutions except Clean boot, reinstall the game. If you don't have this issue get out of these threads. They’re asking for this to *troubleshoot*.

Except they’re not a bot. While they give out a copy-pasted initial response, it’s a human behind that screen who’s waiting for someone to reply so they can further troubleshoot. The reason it’s always the same response is because that’s the response to this particular issue. Most companies do that - provide a strict script for most things. I used to work in customer support online. It’s what I’d have to do too. It's a bot who gives the exact same response every single time, it leads to nothing! I understand you’re very frustrated but snapping at customer support doesn’t do anything. At all.
They already have 100-1000 of system information and have gotten them every single week for 5 years and nothing has changed. I don't care about the human behind that avatar because it's always the same response, always the same suggestions and nothing helps. They need to escalate it to the developers because this problem has been occurring for more than 5 years and they have NEVER given an official statement or addressed this issue!Except they’re not a bot.
