Where is New World / Meracydia? Is there a map?

As far as I know, New World is located West of Eorzea and Meracydia is south of of it. AS far as size, I'm not too sure, I assumed that Meracydia would be about if not bigger than Thavnair.

I have been looking forward to going to these places for years now but even though the map from Shalrayan to the far east has been fully labeled if you dig deep enough (not in-game).

The problem you see is that I haven't come across any map that displays the size, geography of either New World and Meracydia. Perhaps it's viewable from the moon maybe? Does anyone know yet? If so, could you care to share a picture of said maps even if it's a rough drawing?

There's no map yes, but Meracydia is south of Aldenard, and the New World is to the west. Current indications

looking at the star from the moon

imply that both are pretty sizeable continents themselves, probably at least as big as Aldenard.

You can see them from the moon, yes. The planet slowly rotates.

Damn, that's a weird map of our Earth. Like somebody reformed the southern parts of Afro-Eurasia.

Nice, though looking very stretched.

Now we just need someone with the technical skill to paste it onto a sphere we can manipulate, Google Earth style.

If/when FFXIV eventually travels to Meracydia, I’ll be curious to see if Meracydia will end up being inspired by/more a Southern-half of Africa analogue or inspired by/an Australia analogue, or maybe even a mix of the two. IIRC FFXIV has sesame seeds originating from Meracydia, and in the real world most species of sesame are native to Africa, so I feel like that’s some evidence for the Africa analogue.

It will be interesting to see as unlike The New World which is obviously an analogue to The Americas, Meracydia is a little more ambiguous in its inspiration/intended analogue.

The thing I'd be most interested in is seeing if and how the few things we do know about Meracydia survived. The main cultural knowledge we have about it is the Warring Triad, so that's a good four Astral Eras old. Are there still people who love Sephirot and Sophia down there, or have they moved on?

Meracydia would most likely be something akin to AUS/NZ. The New World - NA/SA. We still haven't been to Bukyo yet either even though it's right next to Kugane.
Maybe there is also a Hawaii equivalent too.
