Does a FC get disbanded if the last person leaves the game?

I have an FC with just me. I know I'll lose the housing but does the FC go *poof*?

If I decided to take a break from FF14 (it shocks me even to consider it) I'd hate to lose my leveled up subs mainly.

House loss would be very hard, subs...ugh..never again.

So if I am the only person in the FC (me and my alts on the same account) and I cancel my subscription, what happens to the FC?

To answer your question, nothing will happen to your FC. Even if you were to delete all your characters, the FC will remain. The only way to disband an FC is if you choose to.

Selling the house sells the FC correct?

If I don't want to lose my submarines selling the house would effectively do that - I think?

Selling the FC would imply that you are also selling the house/workshop. If you don't want to lose your subs, then you have to keep playing. Selling the FC with the house/workshop is your only way to receive proper compensation, otherwise, your subs will be nuked once the house is demolished.

I know how you feel, I'd hate to lose mine. Too much grinding to get them to 90 and outfitted.

One option, maybe, is to ask a trusted submariner to keep it all going for you while you break. A submariner would check daily for you in exchange for the spoils so you know the house won't auto-demolish.

The problem is finding someone who both knows subs already, is willing to earn their own ceruleum tanks/repair mats, and will hand it all back hassle free when you return. But given a choice between that or a 100% loss... if you must take the break... I'd risk it. You are not losing anything extra.

Edit: If you do go that route, it's something I would suggest you ask on the sub discord. There are quite a few well-known people there who likely can be trusted. Primals, Mods, Regulars... anyone long term in the discord isn't going to risk the drama of not handing back a FC they were minding.

(and yeah, if they are levelled I'd do it for you, hahaha)
