    From Malaysia, having same problem but manage to use mobile data to access the launcher(vpn doesnt work,dns doesnt work, edit FFXIV_BOOT doesnt work) but if i use my wifi to launch the game it does the same error. Any solutions to to turn it back to my wifi network? was fine 1hr ago......was still playing but the moment my laptop went out of battery and re-open, the error begun....plus i uninstalled it need to reinstall.....

    Found the likely cause of the problem

    At least for Singtel users (Singapore).

    Based on what I saw in the HTML response, the URL was redirected through Airtel India which has some contract with Singtel.

    https://www.singtel.com/about-us/med...l-rights-issue

    And recently this month, India has been secretly blocking websites and Airtel seemed to be one of the companies involved.

    This problem would likely lasted awhile and might slowly affect any services using them.

    Thank you for doing a bit of digging, kind Sir. Singtel owns a stake in India's Bharti Airtel. I'm no Internet guru but just find it strange that traffic is routed through them for a connection to Japan. I'm not sure whose court the ball is in now, was the page recently blocked by Airtel, or did something change in the pre-patch stuff from SE's end that triggered some autoblocking? Singtel won't reroute traffic just for the few of us, I'm sure... Looks like you're right and this is not a one, two day issue. Probably longer now, a month or more maybe, idk.

    Not sure why it's happening for select users of other ISPs in other countries, maybe your FFXIV data traffic is routed through Airtel also, for some reason?

    EDIT: Mods are taking in info requests per the above, let's report our situation, guys

    What I did was to use my phone hotspot to log in to the launcher. Then before pressing play, i changed back to my singtel wifi. It worked fine for me while playing game with Wifi. My phone hotspot is using giga network

    Also facing the same issue since 2 days ago

    Platform - Mac (MacBook Air M1 if it matters)
    If on PC, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game from scratch along with deleting the Final Fantasy XIV folder within the "My Documents" > "My Games" parent folder - Uninstalled game, will try re-installting later
    Wired or wireless connection - wireless
    Internet Service Provider: Singtel
    Region/Location: Singapore
    Separate Modem and Router or Hybrid - I would assume hybrid, have a main modem then an optical network router

    Hopefully this gets resolved soon... I just purchased the full version of the game and was hoping to play more

I do not think that would be helpful (been reading previous users too who tried reinstalling), and it has possibility to complicate things further. Therefore I choose to not reinstall

    Wired or wireless connection: Wired (can be wireless as well)
    Internet Service Provider: CBN (Cyberindo Aditama)
    Region/Location: Indonesia
    Separate Modem and Router or Hybrid? Doesn't really understand this one, probably hybrid

    The game run well so far, can't access launcher since yesterday night (20 Dec 2021, GMT+7)

    No, the reinstall process is long, and many have stated that it does not work.
    However, connecting to mobile hotspot (different ISP from internet line) to open the launcher, then game menu screen, then switch back to ethernet allows me to enter the game world.
    Once I exit the game, the launcher will show the same error (while on ethernet).


    Wired or wireless connection:
    Wired

    Internet Service Provider:
    Singtel = unable to open launcher
    StarHub (mobile hotspot) = able to open launcher


    Region/Location: (your actual region not in game)
    Singapore

    Separate Modem and Router or Hybrid?
    Mesh Router -> Main Router
