Using Singtel and faced same issue.

Found someone's suggestion to change the DNS server ipv4 to use Google's DNS instead (1.1.1.1).

To change your DNS server on a Windows 10 computer, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Change Adapter Settings. Then right-click your internet connection and select Properties > IPv4 > Properties. Finally,select Use the following DNS server address. Enter 1.1.1.1

This worked for me.

Singtel user and same issue. No VPN.
Tried ipconfig /release /renew then flushdns, didn't work.
Tried restarting the router, didn't work.
Finally, tried this. It worked like magic!

1.1.1.1 is not google DNS - it's Cloudflare. (google dns is 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4)
but yes using 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1 is a workaround for those impacted by this issue - just remember to go to command prompt and type: "ipconfig /flushdns" (minus the "") if you changed it and still get hit by the version check nonsense.

It has been over a day but no one from square enix has replied to this thread regarding the issue, which people from India, Singapore, Malaysia, are facing at the exact same time.

Paid endwalker user, facing this problem since yesterday.

Tried google & cloud flare DNS ( both on router and pc ) with dns flush all possible combinations.
Not working.
I am in India, if location matters.

Restarted PC and router, change boot file, etc
Even tried to reinstall game.
Error still persist.

Running on Steam, using Singtel and living in Singapore.
