What I did was to use my phone hotspot to log in to the launcher. Then before pressing play, i changed back to my singtel wifi. It worked fine for me while playing game with Wifi. My phone hotspot is using giga network

If on PC, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game from scratch along with deleting the Final Fantasy XIV folder within the "My Documents" > "My Games" parent folder? :
YES! (Doesn't resolve the problem).
Wired or wireless connection:
Wired connection
Internet Service Provider:
View Quest
Region/Location: (your actual region not in game)
Singapore
Separate Modem and Router or Hybrid?
Both PCs in the room are wired to the same modem.
Edit: We found the solution is tether mobile phone 4G to PC, get pass the login page, remove phone tether, use back wired LAN and the connection is ok.

Managed to resolve the issue via:
- Changing my DNS address to use 1.0.0.1. (1.1.1.1 DNS does not work as of 21st Dec 21)
- Using VPN to get past the launcher's version check.
Try this method guys. Worked for me and wife.
Edit: Our phone ISP is M1 (Not Singtel or ViewQuest)We found the solution is tether mobile phone 4G to PC, get pass the login page, remove phone tether, use back wired LAN and the connection is ok.
I'm using Singtel fiber, fixed this by enabling DNS over TLS in the router, and using the servers below.
8.8.8.8 dns.google
8.8.4.4 dns.google
1.1.1.1 cloudflare-dns.com
1.0.0.1 cloudflare-dns.com

Able to log in , did the patch fix the problem ?

Just tested it again, now the launcher works no problem. Thank you for the fix!
Tho just for reference, in the end what's the cause of the problem...?
am pretty sure it is not something to do with indian govt that would take months to solve![]()
Same here, I can confirm the launcher works fine now. Thank you SE for the fix! (Or maybe the patch deployment naturally fixed things, I don't know. Big thank regardless xD)
Would also like to know the cause of the problem for future reference.
