    Reaper, RPR

Playing 80+ with the RPR I found myself focused on the skill bar 90% of the time. 10% of the time I would catch a glimpse of the combat where I would be lucky to escape from a boss mechanic unharmed. Compared to other classes where my focus would be more on the fight and not looking if I’m pressing the correct key.

The problem is the positional movement. With RPR I have to always be on the move while pressing multiple possible combos. I think the positional requirements should be removed or at least fuse some of the skills like the solo instances where one button will do 3 combos.

Eh, this one is a you problem. We have two actual positional skills that we rotate through on single target. And you only hit them back to back during Gluttony, giving you plenty of time to reposition while opening Soul Reaver again in normal rotation.

Our AoE combo does shift from circle for our generator skills and cone for our spenders, with two circle spenders and one line spender. But aiming them isn't really hard at all and flows naturally. There is zero need to change any of that.

Yeah if they keep RPR as it is, but merged the combos. For example

When you press Soul Slice, Grim Swathe would show up next on that same key and then Guillotine since you’re doing a AOE anyways make it all one key press 3 times. If possible macro program it for the players to have an option to do so.

Is this just a longform way of asking for PVP combos? PVP combos aren't going to magically tear your eyes away from your hotbars to the battle.

No. The last thing we need is the game getting even more dumbed down. You focus more on your action bars than on what is happening? Git better or play another job.

We've had Reaper for a little over 2 weeks now, compared to a minimum of 2.5 years for the rest. Of the other jobs, how many can you say for certain that you were able to play it with minimal looking at your hotbars after only 2 weeks. Also bear in mind, Reaper starts at 70, other jobs start with less, so it is arguably easier to slowly build up the knowledge required to look at hotbars less.

All you need is more practice and familiarity with the job.

I think saying "always have to be on the move" is an overstatement. It's not that bad. At all. We only have 2 positionals, which are not in our main combo, and they always alternate so there's no guessing. Also, there's 2 charges of True North.

I actually find Reaper quite intuitive given that nothing is a random proc. You know exactly when your other skills will be available and when you can use them.

The levelling process always feels a little clumsy, especially when you're picking up a new job that you haven't previously mained and even more so if you're coming across from another role. Reaper will feel incredibly intuitive by the time you actually take it into Ex trials if you take the time to practice it.

I think the only thing you need is practice, with time and practice the job becomes incredible smooth and you have True north wich recast is at 60s perfect for the Gluttony 2 stacks of soul reaver if you want to, the job is perfect gameplay wise, it doesn't need any change at all.
