Can we PLEASE get an in game option to decline FC invites without /busy

Honestly, Solo FCs have been such a consistent red flag when it comes to certain types of people, maybe it's a good thing that those people feel compelled to make them. They're usually shelters for people who constantly instigate interpersonal drama but never realize that they're the common thread.

I made my own FC months ago. Not because I'm into instigating drama though, but because I hate drama, and I hate being hoodwinked more after giving it some time and thought. My experiences with FCs in this game hasn't been the best, but it was nothing I did, or even necessarily anything others have done. They are usually led by a clique and are typically dead silent in FC chat. Most people who join are just a number and little else. I don't really fault them for that because it's simply bound to happen, but it doesn't make my stay in an FC particularly pleasant, especially if there happens to be one or two people that really get on my nerves. Being in a solo FC isn't about others though. It's about what suits my own needs. I get personal buffs and sellable items, among with other added bonuses. No drama, no cliques. Just me, myself and I and 0 down sides to my situation. Initially I was just trying to get that Odin figurine for my house, but I ended up preferring what I had built to "social" FCs.

this is EXACTLY how i feel. most FCs i've been in since i've joined have been very clique-like or they rather care about numbers and will spam invite everyone without an FC. i guess the buffs are nice and all, but i could care less about chatting with cliques or a group with an assortment of random people who were invited for numbers. it's so much nicer being in an FC with irl friends, or some cool people you meet in the game who are willing to join your FC and help it grow.

You don't even have to be social if you join an FC. You can literally never interact with anyone and benefit freely from permanent XP buffs among other things. The worst you may run into is having to say hi back when they say hi to you when you log in.

Some people are so weird and self-defeatist sometimes smh.

I don’t like dealing with people; and I’d prefer to just do my own thing most of the time when I’m online—especially if I’m on an alt and just playing through the story again or whatever. Forced interactions are the worst for a lot of people that are labeled as introverted. It’s not self-defeatist to just want to be on your own. I personally prefer it a lot of the time; and am far more content interacting with people on my own terms versus on theirs. A lot of FCs “require” participation in events/chat to not be booted. No thanks.



I’m all for a setting to automatically decline FC invites. I don’t necessarily want to go through the troubles of setting up a solo one on my alts I have that are on different servers/data centers, so a feature where I can just auto-decline would be amazing.

The easiest way to avoid FC invites is to just join an FC; You get free buffs and people to chat with.

They are not really free you pay for them with points gained from inviting sprouts and that leveling gives points to the guild. The lower level the more points you will get for every job they level. Unless they are using a Aetherial Wheels which mine was definitely not because I was the one going to the grand company to restock them. No sprout is going to know any of this, all they see is free things not know if their fc should die out like many do they could have just put all of their time and levels into their own.

blaaaah, sorry so many times I see that and you reminded me of this with your post. Same day they are having a fight with someone in the fc right as you join in >.<

I also had an fc that was really creepy about the way they acted spamming emote screetching, legitimate spamming the chat begging to come to their house to play dress up, finding you in game when you do not answer, giving creepy weird pet names to people like baby so and so. Just....I am sorry no. If this is a me problem, I will gladly admit this, because the is just weird to me, sorry but not sorry.

Since ARR I've been using them for Storage. Now, also included airships/subs, design, and I don't have to ask anyone permission. You see a loner and it's a red flag? you need to change your perspective homie

Regardless of the thread being a couple years old, I'm somewhat surprised this isn't a feature yet.

The game doesn't even stop the same person from spam FC inviting you even when you decline, unless you blacklist them, its kind of a joke.

What's really good is getting FC invite whispers when your using world travel.

The solution is there: just go to your GC, talk to the admin npc and create your own. You don’t need to complete the process by inviting 3 other people: you’ll still appear as being in an fc and spam will stop.

If you want to (it’s optional), you can complete the process with a single friend helping out (or a 2nd account): all they need to do is create 3 temporary lvl 1 chars that you invite, then you can register the fc. You then get an fc chest all to yourself for extra storage and pass things to alts if you have some and you can get fc bonuses too. The lvl 1 chars can then be deleted. I just did that yesterday on an alt char I have on another DC. All I need to do to get more storage is run some quick Doma Castles solo unsynched (good balance speed/loot) and turn the loot to the GC. I also greed on all the loot when doing roulettes to level up the fc (also optional but you get more chest space and better bonus options). I like having my own thing and join some discords for group events and content.
