Some of us farmed over 7000 FATEs on the very first weeks of Endwalker and got the Wivre just fine.
Feel free to join us on Ultros during Dawntrail as well![]()
Real question though, how did you manage without hurting your wrists?
I foolishly believed that when Yoshida said "Endwalker relics will be like ARR and Heavensward relics" it would mean that they would include a FATE farming phase and I hoped to kill two birds with one stone, so I'm only starting the grind very late. I'm at 25% right now and the carpal tunnel syndrome is getting quite bad.
I've done all of Eureka, Bozja, Firmament and tank farms (including titles), even Yo-kai Watch, so I'm used to the grind, but other forms of grind aren't as rough on the wrists since they don't require you to constantly spam the same buttons over and over without giving you a break in the middle.
And then here I am, racing against bots to get to the FATE before they do so I can get full rewards, switching between dps and healer (Holy go brrr) to relieve my wrists from pain momentarily, and I can't really give in and buy the vouchers or the rewards on the marketboard because I don't have 180M gil on me (even with the 4 submersibles of my FC) and I don't want to engage in RMT. And who knows how high the price will be in the next years! And then I find this:
That's the real beef I have with this content. You could find bots farming FATEs in the wild back in Stormblood already, when bicolor gemstones didn't even exist yet. Putting a tradable/sellable reward (not to mention TWO of them) behind a huge grind that bots have already been able to accomplish for years is only encouraging people at large to engage in RMT, botting and other prohibited activities.
Same with the node loop at the top of the mountain in Island Sanctuary and its economy actually NOT being self-contained (contrary to what was promised in a Live Letter), why are you making it easy for bots to force level their island so they can easily access the end game mounts and vouchers to sell on the marketboard...
Firmament was great! I would love a second Firmament! (without exclusive titles however, we're not in the middle of a global lockdown anymore don't punish people for not having enough time to grind because they have a life) But I pray that Dawntrail doesn't have another bot-friendly content like this, because it's only frustrating (and physically hurting) players who want to play by the rules.
(already anticipating the "just don't play the game 4head" replies)

Firmament is extremely bottable. The requirements here are patheticly low. If bots can be made to follow fates, its equaly easy to just make them follow gather nodes and get a lot of resources through that. Crafter bots also exist already, so only the turning in has to be automated with it.
The only reason to not bot is is because there are more efficient ways to make gil. But if such thing gets released in DT, you can be sure the first few weeks it will be botted to oblivion to get the new rewards as quickly as possible just to sell them.
I also wish this was nerfed.
I make an effort to complete everything in the game except bicolored gemstones because it's a waste of time and not fun.
