Hey Square Enix, I had a thought and wondered if this would be something that may help. In the past to help new players through older content the Moogle Tome events were created. I am curious if similar functionality could be giving to offer some kind of reward during primetime hours to encourage players who have been logged on for a while to accept this as a reward and log off such that the reward would be mailed to them the next time they log on.

It's an interesting idea. I would worry this might have unintended consequences. Depending on what you could get with the rewards, it may encourage some subset of players to stay on longer than they otherwise would just to be offered the reward.

Honestly, I think the better idea is a passive benefit to being offline, like an increased rested XP buff. If you're online, you aren't getting rested XP, so you don't benefit. If you're offline -- or if you're unable to play at all due to the queue -- you at least are getting rested XP to help you catch up when you do get back on.
