It's not as damning as the 2002 error but they've known about that audio error since forever and they just didn't want to fix it because it'd be too much work. Like 2002 has had been reported for years but they did nothing about it until it severely impairs players' ability to play.

I feel really bad for players who have been affected by that audio bug during the congestion, it's really questionable from the dev to just let the bug exist and continuously add new things to the game without even looking at it. I'm not a developer but I assume that it's more difficult to address a bug when there's a lot of content than when there's less, and if that's the case, "it's fine" until it's not, like for 2002,and they'll end up with more workload than they could've had if they squashed it as soon as they possibly could have.
