Is this how the devs intended?

So I know Scholar and Sage are both barrier healers but was it intended for sages to be able to overnight recitation/ adlo shields with just their eukrasian prognosis? I find this to be strange. I always thought the strongest barrier always stays no matter what. When I’m paired with a sage I’m afraid to cast critlo because they will just over right it so easily.

I hope this is a bug that will quickly be addressed…

Yeah I noticed that as well last night doing trial 2 extreme. It’s probably an oversight because I don’t recall smaller shields ever overwriting bigger shields in the past, especially something as valuable as a 2 min cooldown shield.

Nocturnal shields would overwrite Scholar's Adloquium, even if the Nocturnal shield was smaller.

It's extremely annoying, but I doubt they will fix it, sadly.

Right I mean a critlo though lol. I guess they really want us to push for 1 pure and 1 barrier always if we wanna avoid the barriers overwriting.

IMHO SE and their testers don't understand healers deeply enough to spot little issues and quirks like this =/

IIRC the intended way for shield overwriting to work is for the stronger one to take precedence. So, I'd expect a fix to be forthcoming as soon as SE isn't busy putting out fires everywhere.

Yeah it has been but the stronger shield always took precedence. I’ve played nocturnal and when sch would spread a critlo I couldn’t overwrite. Yeah sometimes I accidentally went noct with a sch so sue me hehe.

Getting your shields overwritten is the worst feeling ever especially when you apply them super early and the other healer has multiple GCDs to notice the barriers are up and still replaces them with smaller ones anyway.
