Go with the Flow quest Endwalker

Is this quest bugged/broken? I have all Landsaint gear except for the spearfishing gig. I'm level 85 now. I have Gold Salmon Roe, at the location, collector's hand on, food buff and after close to over 100 tries I have yet to land one DAMN Giant Aetherlice. I get the Aetherlouse but no Aetherlice. I about ready to give up on the fishing and maybe the rest of Studium quests because of this. On Gamerescape site on person claims that if you do as I am doing you should be able to knock it out in about 10 minutes. Seems like crappy joke to me. So any insights to why I'm having such lousy luck and please mention your Preception and gathering stats. Maybe I'm a bit low.

If I'm not mistaken, Aetherlice is just the plural form of Aetherlouse.
When you check what item they require it says Giant Aetherlouse.
Make sure that you have Collect on while catching them, otherwise he won't take them.
You want to shoot for 166+ collectability(large catches) for max rewards when turning in.
