Went to repair gear and now forced to go through Final Days Again?

I queue up for 8-man Final Day after going to repair gear. go to the portal to go into Final Day. Have been brought into the 4 man Dead Ends twice. I have to repair gear each time before queueing up for Final Day. Which then treats it like I never went through Dead Ends, even though I can go to where I left off through a portal for Final Day, at the point I went into Dead Ends.

Is there any way to fix this or do I have to destroy my gear to do the Endwalker end duty?

I have that problem when I usually forgot to uncheck the 4 man duty when the queue for 8 man always take me to 4 man instead.
