EX Fight Solo Tank

im farming zodiark now and wanted to know how to solo tank this guy. can some1 help me with that?

Right now? Very unlikely. The vuln you get from the tank buster makes his subsequent damage unhealable even with all our mitigation, at best you could maybe survive 1 auto.

I bet you could stay just barely ahead in enmity, Shirk'd whoever is next in the enmity list after the tank buster, Provoke'd when the 30sec debuff wears off, rinse and repeat, you could do it. I think there are only 4 tank busters in the fight total? It'll be like old solo tank attempts at Thordan EX. Plus if you can make the MNK in your party the tank swap partner, they have the 3 stacks of 20% mitigation with new Riddle of Earth.

You can invuln it....but the debuff is 30 seconds long. The very next auto attack would delete you after your invuln drops off.

I have done this a few times if the other tank died and getting rezzed, or we scuff our tank swap, or I overtake in agro for 3 seconds or so (which has happened in some PF groups resulting in having to turn off Stance after the tank swap).

First EX is pretty hard on the tanks to be aware at all times. I fat fingered my shirk macro once and the other tank was instantly deleted. That debuff ain't no joke.

Zodiark would be difficult to solo tank, the 30 sec dmg debuff can early one shot you unmitigated, and you prolly would still get 2 shot if you do mitigate his attacks, and u will need very good healers to keep you on top of things. Solo healer on the other hand is very possible.

However light mommy on the other hand.....solo tanking is actually feasible if you use ur cooldowns appropriately.

Easily done, people have solo healed Ultimates.
