Did you skip any cutscenes?
Either way, it's a causal loop/grandfather paradox time-travel. Even A causes event B which causes even A

It's a time loop, which has it's own issues, but still.
Never mind the fact that it was definitely not written into the story at that point yet, but because of the existence of the time loop we were always going to head back in time there to tell Venat who would become Hydaelyn and do what she did...
