    The dungeons of Endwalker.

    Having completed all the dungeons of Endwalker, i couldn't help but to be a bit disappointed. Not because the dungeons weren't fun, but because the very first dungeon had simply the most engaging bosses (2nd boss in final story dungeon being an exception).

    The pace and attacks for the 81 dungeon bosses feels just right, while other dungeon bosses feel like they have too much idling.

    It felt like there was a lot of wasted time in the dungeons for sure. The level 89 one, has a ton of that, and fake trash pulls. It felt like there was a lot of padding for time. That isn't to say all the encounters are like this. For example, the level 90 MSQ dungeon. While it can be frustrating, the mechanics encourage you to pay attention, you get hit, and the healer doesn't esuna? You are dead. Similarly with the doom. On the other end, you have the first boss of the level 87 dungeon who wastes time playing hide and seek or whatever. and tons of blocks on your last pulls.

    I personally was pleased with them overall but yeah there's definitely some padding and pacing issues. I personally took more issue with the incessant escort questing but hey, nothing is perfect right?

    Dunno why SE bothers adding MOBS in dungeons, if they are gonna follow the same pattern over and over and over again.

    -3 mobs
    - pull group.
    -3 mobs
    -Stack group and kill
    -Boss room
    -Repeat.

    Just give us the 3 bosses instead of wasting time killing mobs that don't give exp/money nor items.

    As much as i want to avoid talking about that other mmo at the moment, i can't help but feel like they manage trash mobs better, where there is usually 4 pack with 3-5 different mobs of different composition each doing its own mechanic that need to be dealt with differently.

    Ive been saying for years that trash packs need to behave more like minibosses instead of damage sponges for the sake of having trash mobs.

    That other MMO also has the tactic of pulling as much as humanly possible and aoeing it all down.

    I like the dungeons. And the person complaining about not getting money from the mobs, I swore you got some when you were doing it as a party. Trusts do not gain gil on mob deaths.

    The point of the dungeon is to give us the feeling of exploring the zone its in.
    they should do more with trash - but definitely not less.

    dungeons with no trash would just be large empty trials - people wouldnt like that either.

    the best dungeons in the game (imo) are the dungeons that have cool animated environments.
    they need to keep that up and make every dungeon they release have something interesting happening in the environment as you go through it.

    If you go this far you should also wonder why we even have to walk through a dungeon. They could just make one room and let the next boss spawn after the first one was killed.


    Other than that the bosses were always really easy, if not to say braindead. The only time where anyone struggles is when players don't know the mechanics or don't bother doing mechanics.

    Dungeons are honestly the most boring content IMO. I don't get the appeal at all.
