Yeah, so delete the topic? Are you not the least embarrassed about the stain left for posterity?
Rolling past some entitled nonsense in General just doesn't add to the positivity. I dunno 'bout you, but I'd not only be embarrassed, but I'd also not want to incite others to your initial level of frustration - you know, for the betterment of humanity and stuff?
I find it depressing that folks will go nuts in the first part of their threads, ("MAH REFUNDZ!"), then chill out in the latter parts and not make any effort to correct their earlier nonsense. (Yeah I know you did an edit, but the title stands, and that's the worst part.)
You've put yourself across as the infamous "customer demanding a refund." People should be required to work face-to-face customer service for a year out of their lives, so they understand the fallacy of "the customer is always right" (they aren't). If "the customer is always right," then I can walk into Target today, fill my basket with $400 worth of stuff, and state to the cashier that my total is $18.50, because "the customer is always right." Non-friggin'-sense. Virtual currency isn't an unalienable right. You may lose some with no recourse -- deal with it.
This behavior happens everywhere and it's kinda sad. I read a Customer Support thread on the WoW forums this morning where a player was vehemently demanding to speak with a "Blue" (Blizzard employee) because of such-and-such and blah blah blah, arguing with other forum posters.... then when the Blue posted and confirmed that the OP there was indeed in the wrong, their posting style changed to "Thank you so much!" and a whole bunch of hearts and stuff. Yet scroll up one flick of the mouse wheel and there are the tantrum stains, for all to see.
Many don't care how their online behavior comes across, because "it's just the Internet", as if that's not a real form of interaction and communication. Where the hell did we go wrong on this?
