Hands up if you liked "in the cold" scenario! I know I did

MMORPGs are usually very generic and always the same thing release after release. New quests? They just have to be walk from A to B while maybe encountering a few enemies along the way. Fetch quests? Absolutely necessary for developers who lack creativity.

But in FF14? Things are changing and I like it.

For those of you who don't know, the in the cold scenario is basically metal gear solid in a sense. You don't rush and kill, no, you have to play it smart.

It's different, it was fun, and I have enjoyed the variety of different styles of quests in EW. Too often would I skip quest dialogues because they are so boring in other games. Even in ARR they were admittedly crude and boring. But they kept improving and I think EW really did a great job both with unique quest types and stories.

The variety of quests that aren't just fetch quests is welcomed. Thank you so much for making the game more interesting. If I wanted a bland MMO experience, there are so many out there already.

Please keep adding these unique elements and stories to the game. It's a great change of pace. So for those out there who enjoy quests that aren't just a matter of killing 10 things or talking to random NPCs 10yalms away, raise your hand

I thought everything from the start of Endwalker up to the end of the Garlemald arc was great to be honest, including 'In from the Cold'.

It was enjoyable to me as well. I like it when a game makes me think, plan ahead and pay attention to the environment.

TBF, there IS another thread praising it, but it got pushed off the front page by the other nonsense clogging the forums. :P

I enjoyed that it forced us to use our heads instead of our combat abilities to get through a tough situation. What I love even more is that it really showed not just how strong the WoL is, but how terrifying it must be for an ordinary Garlean soldier to face them. Now imagine how a Garlean citizen feels. That duty explained a lot about why the Garleans fear us without directly saying it at all. Really good storytelling.

Generally i dont like the quests that make mr play another character/role only because even if i know the role how the actions/controls are feel wierd from my normal play but i cant argue that for me it fit the story and well certainly added to my emotion of the story.

In the Cold is unironically the most interesting gameplay in the game outside of the little high-end content we get. There needs to be more stuff in this game that isn't braindead easy.
