Not sure if a server reset would change much, since I could easily just remote access my PC, and then go back to what i was doing before. Life is far too short to spend it needlessly waiting in queue. This is akin to blaming the housing problems on those with multiple plot, because do not place SE’s unwillingness to expand their budget so they could have gotten extra servers YEARS ago.

Also outside of certain steps SE will never really be able to get rid of third party support that is just a pipe dream.

Not needed, and wouldn't solve the problem. Just inconvenience anyone that just waited through a queue to play.

Imagine you legit waited in line 3 or 4 hours only to log into a rolling restart. I'd legit flip my PC. Suddenly you have the entire game trying to relog at once and if it's during prime time those afk people are likely not afk. So now you just have everyone in line at once potentially overloading the log in server and your right back in queue.

If it's not prime time you can already log in. Midnight to Miday is already either a low queue or no queue. Most people afking are just logging in during non prime hours and afking til prime time. So if you kick us during non prime time everyone just relogs in anyways since no queues, and if you kick during prime time you're just going to tick people off with zero benefits.

This is one of the worse solutions to a problem I've ever seen. Really guys think it through next time.

Why don't they just force you to log off after 24 hours?

24 hours is more than enough time to play the game. At that point go to sleep.

Because not everyone is willing to break the rules, or have their fun at the expense of other players.

If you're playing while someone is sitting in queue, you're having fun at someone else's expense whether you waited 20 seconds in queue or 2 hours.

Best we can do is just report if we suspect a bot or sellers SE can't handle everything but we can do our part to keep this community great

If you are playing and someone is not able to play due to being in queue aren't you having fun at their expense following your train of thought.

As for the rules part, I mean that largely boils down to a lack of enforce either due to inability or unwillingness. Either way to hold people accountable for not moving forward with rules that are not enforced is funny to say the least.

If they did that I would stop playing the game. I have gone on a 24 hour stint if I have off from work for 3 days to catch up on story things and to grind out something. Korean mmos would nag and nag when you were logged in for 5 hours complaining to take a break mind you I do not play every hour on the hour in those stints. Many breaks are taken and tab outs to look up something, but the game doesn't know if your tabbed out it just sees the time counter. I don't know. Maybe I just hate automated systems in general >.<

On a side note similar to the bots clicking on placards 24/7 they will find a way around it, and it could just end up punishing actually people.

Why stop there? I encountered at least a dozen gathering bots yesterday for aethersands. Not RMT bots, mind you, but "legit" players with free companies, level 90s, and search comments.

Totally not suspicious when they follow the exact same pathing and are gathering for 18 hours straight.
