The people I know that do it have admitted they do it outside game repeatedly. I'd rather not have to report my friends. I'd rather they just get kicked out of the game or auto flagged for what's essentially botting.
This is the equivalent of Facebook likes curing cancer.
If I don't get paid, I'm blaming the AFKers.

People AFKing is not the main cause for the congestion....

As someone whom made topics wanting a Limsa AFK timer years ago, you can imagine how much I've been correct since then.
Now I believe it has to be in the single digit percentages of AFKers affecting capacity. They could devise more methods where X/Y movement need to be of "substance" in a 30 minute span. Obviously they addressed previous exempt flags from the AFK system which was great.
For me, it's less of capacity and more of "there's too dang many people in the houses doing it congesting the server for that."As someone whom made topics wanting a Limsa AFK timer years ago, you can imagine how much I've been correct since then.

I shouldn't be unable to enter my apartment or the FC house for 15 minutes because of congestion. People afking in their houses with macros and launcher plugins and the like on the other hand, are causing that. I VERY highly doubt that many people are in the houses for other reasons.
I don't think anybody in this thread argued that AFKers are the main cause for congestion. Certainly not me.
However, the situation is already bad enough as it is. We really don't need people exacerbating the situation. Every single person doing it makes congestion last that much longer. A lot of them are planning to static raid as well. If the queues drag out into Savage, they'll have themselves to blame when one of their members DC's and they have to cancel raid night.

I'm from Europe and will raid at 5am on an NA DC, so when the queues would still be lengthy if things don't calm down. If I don't find a way to AFK before I go to sleep, we'll have to cancel raid either ways, because I'm not waking up at 2am to hopefully be on time.
Some people don't have a choice.
I cannot relate blaming my fellow player or myself for the situation, current and what's likely to happen to my static, when they are not responsible for the inadequacy of the servers. Either the unfortunate circumstances or SE, or both, are fair to blame, but certainly not people who are trying to access the service they are and have been paying for.

im baby

I support Square Enix combating ways around circumventing the auto-kick. The entire point is that some players are utilizing tools that are against TOS, which is in place for a reason. But like many others, I also doubt Square Enix would be able to "find" these people. But I guess this post shows my support?
