I think it would be a more interesting Skill, if it was instead, a 50 Poteny HoT that doubles its potency after every 5sec (up to 25 or 30sec) as long as you stand still and keep it channeled, but on a long Cooldown, like 3-5Min.
Anatman is the old solution to a problem that Monk no longer faces (losing GL stacks during phase transitions or other long stretches of non-interactive fight. What it does for your Stance and Damage Buff, it used to do for GL). Which turns the skill into a weird gimmick, since the problem it was created to solve is no longer an actual problem.

That said, I'm *wholely* unqualified to speak as to what Monk needs. The job never really appealed to me to play, I was just providing the context for why Anatman seems like a weird gimmick now. And I've been enjoying reading what other people think the job needs. (Just because I don't like to play the job doesn't mean I should be ignorant of what it does or can do. Nor should I ignore discussion of the players who do enjoy it. It just means I'm not qualified to speak to the merits of the job)
