No, because I still never said or implied that people on the Source don't have a soul. I already said in terms of rejoinings multiple times and there have only been 8(including Ardbert). Again, 8 of 13 rejoinings. Not counting the Source because that wasn't a rejoining... that's where we start, the original fragment. However, if we counted where we start + rejoinings, it would indeed be 9/14. Granted I was a bit fuzzy in my initial post and could have clearer (already covered that) but I did mention rejoinings previously.

Think of it this way, slice a cake into 14 pieces, one for the source and one for each of the 13 shards. Each rejoining is akin to getting that world's piece of cake. So 7 rejoinings = 7 pieces of cake in addition to the piece we hold. Ardbert then very kindly gave us his piece of cake for a total of 9.

The final battle and that resuscitation power tell me that we're now at our highest peak, the blessing of light stopped being relevant after Midgardsormr. Also after HW, Hydaelyn was mostly weakened.

This is just a side note from me of something I liked. I liked when she said "may you ever walk in the light...." and didn't add "crystal" at the end. I found that very poignant since the crystal is now gone. What a journey it was. I can't wait to see where Yoshi-P and crew take us next.

What? Hydaelyn isn't "refreshing our bars"? Not sure where you ever got that from. It's clearly meant as a representation of our will power winning out in desperate situations, else it would have been mentioned somewhere, come on.

Except you're wrong, Hydaelyn does refresh our bars, in multiple instances in fact, that's where I got it from. The first time it occurs is when you're fighting Ultima weapon on the elevator, and the whole map glows in her light accompanied by her words "If thou wouldst triumph, thou must look to the light!" and then the entire party's health is refreshed instantly. Additionally you can even see the heal "Blessing of Light" followed by heal amount. Are you really trying to suggest that it's not the light that's empowering us, here but our will? Come on, indeed. When Gaius discovers this, he even says "So this is what empowers him/her." The whole purpose of the exercise on the elevator was to wane her powers down, before breaking them with Ultima. This isn't even the only time she's done this either, in many solo duties she'll intervene mid combat to heal, or protect us from certain death. Have you even paid attention?

Are we no longer Warriors of Light? With Hydaelyn gone, aren't we just adventurers again? The whole reason we were originally even given the WoL title was because Hydaelyn chose us, empowering and protected us against enemies that would surely have killed us without her intervention. It even shows her walking with us every step of the way of our journey, taking the blows for us. The only thing we have left is the ward she placed on us against aether corruption.

I felt incredibly saddened when we looked down at Azem's crystal and watched the last few sparkling motes of Hydaelyn dance away into the sky as her voice spoke "May you ever walk, in the light..." because it felt like saying goodbye to the past 10 years of my adventures and experiences on this game. I wonder if we'll continuously be known as Warriors of light in future expansions/content.

This is what let use do LB and be healed when we dead. One thing the story in ff14 did good is connecting game play elements to the story cannon. I hope 7.0 give use a fresh start in a different shard or even do a time Skip and make use start as a new character.

It was Hydaelyn's doing not the spells.the spell is just a protection against primals corruption. You just missed this part in the msq where it was stayed clearly.

This will be unpopular but in my opinion the "Warrior of Light"/chosen one aspect of the story was the most misjudged - and I think the writers agree to a point because the Blessing of Light is explained (I won't give any big spoilers here) and it's deliberately anticlimactic. You still have it, but it's not really responsible for your successes. You have your successes because of your empathy and sympathy (again choosing my language to avoid too many spoilers) allowing you to punch above your weight.

So the blessing of light is still there, but it's not really the reason you're so awesome. And after the Shadowbringer's storyline we know that "Warrior of Light" is a title assumed by basically anyone fighting for the common good. Warrior of Light is an ethos, really, not a blessing, not unique, and not special.

So you aren't actually diminished by the departure of Hydaelyn at all. In fact you now have agency and ownership of successes that were previously misattributed to her. So if anything you're greater than you were before.

Honestly we are still the Warrior of Light since its also a title given to us basically by the GC leaders at the end of 2.0. Or before considering us Legacy Players.
