Lobby Login Issue?

It seems like the only people who were actively booted were those who were in a dungeon or cutscene. Maybe it's the instance servers that took a dump? I've just been fishing, and still am as I type this.

I was collecting an aether current when it kicked me out.

Anyone get kicked from FFXIV and get the authentication error message, try to log back in but have some kind of technical error message?

I'm getting the same error, and I was just sitting in queue waiting to log in.

Yeah.. Got booted here, and yes, was in a cutscene

Some further investigation tells me that Microsoft Azure went down at the same time, which is a service you can use to manage logins among other things. That must be how they are handling logins and why it went down probably.
