    It's literally impossible to "regulate" the internet though, lol. Unless you are regulating who can use it and what they can say. None of that is going to stop hackers. Guess that's kind of off topic though. Just letting it be known that the government probably shouldn't have the means to regulate the internet. That's a terrifying precedent.

    I'd say that the government shouldn't regulate content on the internet but should probably regulate activity in the case of things like DDoS. However to do it effectively would likely require a measure of the "net anonymity" to go away though people aren't really as anonymous on the internet as they think they are regardless of what they use to try and hide themselves.
